Merci pour ce moment

Not trying to copy Valérie Trierweiler’s bestseller title, but I’m really glad and thankful for the things that happened.

I have long decided that the best decision that I have ever made was to take French as a third language in Y1. To be honest, this decision was already made when I was 9 years old, when I fell in love with the Enid Blyton books and her descriptions of the quirky French mademoiselles at the boarding schools, the chic French girls who couldn’t stand having Freckles, the rolling of the ‘R’s etc. I loved every bit of the stories and I made it a point to learn French to understand the 1-2 sentences littered around the books et voilà.

Ten years on, I am still very, very sure that was indeed the best decision I’ve made in my life thus far.
